I’m not trying to pinpoint that anyone’s guilty, including you. I don’t think your messages in the group made things worse, nor do I think they made things better. It happened from the very beginning.

I get where your coming from and I think it’s important that there’s people like you who are noticing these sort of things.
As far as members of the Foundation publicly supporting proposals, that’s also a good point.
On one hand they are also just community members and should be allowed to have their opinion, but I get you, that’s a tricky one and could definitely sway some voters.
It’s easy for me to say it’s all good this time, because I also supported this proposal, but if I didn’t then maybe I would feel differently.

This is done as a work around for the spam prevention built into the forum software. Without it, a new account may hit certain limit that prevent the ability to properly make posts.

You’re not a newbie 
…you’ve been posting here at least since the DAO formed, so even if these levels were actually based on your status in the community, it would be deserved.
But to me it looks like this whole LVL3 thing isn’t anything to do with someones achievements or whatever, it is more because for some reason or another they needed the forum permissions that the LVL3 gives them.

哈哈，我的第一篇帖子就是刚申请账号以后写的帖子，当时也没什么问题，这么多DAO申请的新用户也没有给Lv3（除了一大堆Rosen相关用户）。截图中所有的Lv3的最近提升都是和Rosen项目有关的，我不理解为什么只要和Rosen有关的都能提升权限，可能是我太敏感了吧，Lv1不行么？
还有我一直觉得这个论坛应该是技术优先论坛，高Lv应该授予技术专家，而非我这样的水友。

Yeah, I agree and personally I couldn’t care less about any levels or anything, I actually didn’t even know there was a level system until you bought it up in the other thread about the analyzer tool.
But this also means that most other people also wouldn’t have noticed that Sonami was LVL3, so their could be no reason that this was done to promote the proposal.
My opinion anyway.

Of the 35 proposals from the beginning till now, only 3 of them were created by level 3 members, and 2 of them created proposals for the Rosen Bridge. Don’t forget that we have another proposal [DIS] Palmyra: RWA Lending on Nervos which was submitted by proxy. The original proposer, @Sam_zenGate , was also granted level 3 (they didn’t even need to create a proposal) and then quietly withdrew.
So, are you going to tell me that the remaining 31 people hacked into the system to post, or that they all posted degraded proposals? No offense intended, but your reply is a bit too perfunctory.

我的感觉是 level 1 还是 level 3 是小事，这个东西之前没注意过，对实际投票结果应该也没影响。以后规定为了提交proposal发言新申请的账号就只能level 1就解决了。
基金会的人怎么表态合适，怎么避免搞成基金会背书，这个确实挺重要。

我同意LV是一件小事，所以一开始在Mr. Chen的工具里面，我提出平权而不提倡LV等级。同时我觉得Lv事件也对投标结果没有影响。
但是当我看到LV的规则的时候，我有点糊涂了。观念引导的力量是无穷的，我觉得有了LV这个观念，就会给每个人潜移默化的影响。
到底是不是规则优先，还是权力优先？“reliable contributor”？
就像我大学时期的游戏战队，打的不错，后来就开始晋升制度，每个人开始关注自己的军衔，最后搞得一地鸡毛。名声也是一把双刃剑。
如何引导价值观才是一个体系最重要的东西，引导价值观特权，就会走向价值观特权。

Yep, I totally agree with you.
You’ve bought up a very important issue and now the mods and admins will be aware going forward that these things can have the ‘look’ that something fishy might be going on, even if that’s not the reality.
And this has also preemptively stopped the possibility that one day there could be something malicious done in this way.
So all in all, I think this has been a positive discussion for the DAO even if it might be a bit negative in itself.

当时开发这个工具的直接原因很简单：

于是做了这个分析工具，目的是降低信息处理成本，而不是引入新的判断标准。
关于 LV，我在开发工具时，一直以为它是自动算法评估的结果。基于这个理解，我最初只是把它当作一个现成的元数据字段进行展示。
在后续讨论中，大家提出了关于光环效应的担忧，这也让我意识到：即便是中性的元数据，只要被显性呈现，也可能对阅读顺序和判断产生潜移默化的影响。
因此后续版本，默认弱化或隐藏了 LV 与身份信号，将它们从第一眼可见的判断线索，下沉为在需要时才查看的上下文信息。
我很认同 woodbury 和 Hanssen在工具开发贴里提到的一点：真正重要的不是 LV 本身，而是我们是否鼓励社区成员先看观点，再看身份。
如果这个工具在设计层面上，在任何程度上放大了相反的阅读路径，那都是我需要持续修正的地方。

I’d like to add some background context on why I originally built this tool, and how I understood LV at the time.
The motivation was quite straightforward.
As a transitional coordinator, my role was to facilitate information flow within the community. Long discussion threads are difficult for anyone to digest efficiently, so I built this analyzer to reduce the cost of processing information, not to introduce new judgment criteria.
Regarding LV, when I developed the tool, I genuinely assumed that LV was the result of an automatic, algorithmic evaluation by the forum system. Based on that assumption, I treated LV simply as an existing metadata field and displayed it as such.
In subsequent discussions, some community members raised concerns about the potential halo effect. This helped me realize that even neutral metadata, once made explicit, can subtly influence reading order and judgment.
As a result, in later iterations of the tool, LV and identity signals were intentionally weakened or hidden by default, moving them from an immediate visual cue to contextual information that can be inspected only when needed.
I strongly agree with a point raised by woodbury and Hanssen within the tool development post: what truly matters is not LV itself, but whether we encourage people to evaluate arguments before identities.
If this tool, at the design level, has amplified the opposite reading path in any way, that is something I see as my responsibility to continue correcting.

哈哈，谢谢解释。我觉得那个LV3根本就不是你加上去的，论坛里面的数据底层就标识了，我都不知道我自己是什么LV3，只不过你突然把底层数据显示化了，跟你没关系的，反而你能帮助我们大家看到了底层数据。
我倒是觉得“可信权重”可能是一种好的东西，但是“可信权重”不一定要显性，而且必须要有机制去保证公平性。例如我孩子最近在研究AI的图像蒸馏技术的时候的底层权重一样，有一套非人工干涉算法且能在蒸馏后自动更新底层权重层，具体大概他给我讲是这个意思。我的意思就是有足够的规则和能力去保证公平性。
我觉得技术能力更是论坛看重的，因为这个社区本就不是炒币社区，而是技术发展社区更合适，谁有更强的技术能力以及技术前瞻性才是生存的要务。
