Is there any good reason for allowing hidden profiles?

You know, from what I can see, feels like we just have some sort of soft rules against:

  1. sock-puppets: using a secondary account to increase the perceived engagement/agreement of the post of a primary account (or vice-versa)
  2. votes on DAO proposals: getting more votes in phase 1 DAO proposal by creating sock-puppets accounts

Apart for sock-puppet purposes, you can create as many profiles as you want.

For example, some time ago @Hanssen was doing something of the sort by using @6aea8a80d7fe account: in my opinion that’s completely fine.
