New builders keep asking the same thing: what should I build on CKB. Good answers exist, but they are scattered across forum threads, Discord, and people’s heads. dir collects them in one place.
dir is an open directory of CKB-native project ideas. Each idea carries a spec, the CKB properties it uses, a difficulty, and concrete acceptance criteria that define what “shipped” means. It ships with 30 seed ideas across 9 categories (developer tooling, Spore/DOB, RGB++, Fiber, OTX, AI agents, identity, storage, and social). Ideas are CC0, and any project you build from one is yours.
Two ways to use it:

You want something built. Open a PR with the idea: the problem, why it fits CKB, and what a finished version has to do. It enters the catalog and someone can pick it up. Think of this as a standing request for ideas and startups, not a one-off thread.

You want to build. Browse the catalog, pick an idea, and ship it. Good-first ideas are tagged for newcomers.
Where it is going: wishes, public commitments, stakes, and bounties become real attestations and Cells, so dir dogfoods the primitives it lists. That on-chain layer goes to testnet next. For now the catalog, the spec, and the site are live.

Adding an idea is a pull request, validated by CI against a schema. If you have a gap worth building, open one.
