Mate, my main issue isn’t with the Nexus concept, I like the idea and would love to see you be able to take it further.
But I think we have all learnt over the last 5 years or so is that a ‘build it and they will come’ strategy just doesn’t work and we can’t just keep building things to prove to each other what CKB can do.
So my personal criteria to support apps going forward is that they need to have a clear plan as to how they will generate real and substantial usage from both within and outside the existing CKB community.
But I was thinking about this today and how you would be able to do this with Nexus.
I think an option would be to try and get some very niche streaming sites to commit to at least trialing the technology for their communities. (At no cost to them for the implementation)
I’m talking really small and obscure communities that struggle to monetize their sites with subscriptions. You would have a chance to do business with these sites because they need you as much as you need them.
But I’m not sure how you do the onboarding though, I’m not even sure exactly how Fiber works at this point, but I think Joyid is the secret sauce here and might actually make it possible if there was also a way to onramp/offramp with credit card to USDI.
