Over the past few years, Force Bridge and Godwoken have played pivotal roles in expanding the Nervos CKB ecosystem — enabling multi-chain asset interoperability, EVM compatibility, and DApp development. These two products marked Nervos’ first major steps toward a layered architecture and cross-chain infrastructure.
However, as the industry evolves and the ecosystem pivots toward UTXO-native innovation, Web5, and Fiber Network, it’s time to sunset these early-stage components to make way for the next era of Nervos.
We hereby announce the official sunset of Force Bridge and Godwoken, beginning 2025-06-01T00:00:00Z. This phased shutdown process is designed to provide users with ample time to exit smoothly and ensure transparency throughout the transition. All updates will be shared on the Sunset Hub.
Timeline
Godwoken Exit Window
2025-06-01T00:00:00Z→2025-10-31T00:00:00Z
- Users can withdraw assets from Godwoken to CKB via the Godwoken Bridge.
- After the exit window, Godwoken will enter a frozen state, during which remaining data will be retained and unclaimed balances will be reported.
Force Bridge Exit Window
2025-06-01T00:00:00Z→2025-11-30T00:00:00Z
- Users can withdraw assets from CKB to their origin chains via the Force Bridge.
- On 2025-12-01T00:00:00Z, the Force Bridge will shut down, and a final snapshot of remaining funds will be published.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
- For Force Bridge, any remaining funds after the exit time-frame will be retained in Force Bridge. Users can contact the Magickbase team for fund retrieval. Please note that custodial fee may be applied based on the duration since the sunset deadline, and the process will be handled manullay so additional time may be required.
- For Godwoken, unclaimed funds will no longer retrievable through standard front-end interface.
- Reports of remaining assets will be published on the Sunset Hub.
User Instructions
We urge all users:
- Withdraw assets from Godwoken using the Godwoken Bridge before 2025-10-01T00:00:00Z
- Withdraw assets from Force Bridge using the Force Bridge before 2025-11-30T00:00:00Z
