Fine with me, actually I use AI for writing and translation advice sometimes myself. I think it’s a great tool which can help reduce language barriers and improve communication and mutual understanding.
That said, I agree that improper use can produce chatgpt-style flattery that sounds insincere. I’d suggest using AI conservatively (if you need its help) and making sure posts are concise and easy to understand.
Hi Matt, Jan, and everyone,
I’m pretty sure my lengthy post on the treasury thread sparked this discussion, and I’d like to apologize for it.
Matt’s feedback was completely fair. I was so focused on laying out the analysis that I didn’t pay attention that it came across as AI and was hard to read. I was trying to use a tool to help structure my thoughts and improve my description (as English is not my first language), but I clearly overdid it.
I agree with Jan’s perspective. The problem isn’t the tool, but how it’s used.
I’ll be much more mindful of this and focus on making my posts clear, concise, and, most importantly, coming from a person. Thanks for the candid feedback, and it’s a valuable lesson.
I can agree with this, I was surfacing this to be protective but hopefully good community norms can keep this in proper balance.
