This sharing session will explore the theoretical foundations and practical pathways of Web5 as an emerging technological paradigm. The presentation will trace the historical evolution of the internet, analyze how Bitcoin pioneered the Web3 era through “value informationization,” and articulate the dialectical relationship between decentralization and verifiability—the two core characteristics of Web5 architecture. From a socio-technical systems perspective, the session will dissect the dual alienation phenomena of “financial capitalization” and “conceptual hollowing” currently facing the blockchain industry, proposing how Web5 serves as a framework transcending binary oppositions to rebuild organic connections between technology and society. From a foundational technology perspective, the sharing will delve into CKB’s Cell model design, demonstrating how the extended UTXO architecture provides critical support for building Web5 infrastructure with both security and programmability. Through the combination of theoretical reflection and technical architecture, this session aims to provide a new perspective on rethinking the future of digital infrastructure, balancing security, efficiency, and human-centered care.
