Nervos Talk Governance Guidelines v0.1

Effective Date: August 13, 2025

Version: v0.1

Chapter 1: General Principles

Article 1: Purpose

Nervos Talk is the public discussion space for the Nervos community and one of the primary venues for Nervos builders to discuss, communicate, and collaborate to advance the Nervos ecosystem. Excellent public discourse can only thrive in a rational, inclusive, and friendly environment. This requires all participants to adhere to basic rules of conduct and to cherish and maintain this public space for the Nervos community. To foster a healthy, rational, and inclusive forum environment, these guidelines have been established.

Article 2: Basic Principles

  1. Discussions should be based on facts and logic.
  2. Purely price-related and speculative market discussions are not permitted.
  3. Respect diverse viewpoints and prohibit personal attacks.
  4. Encourage content and behavior that contribute to the ecosystem’s growth.
  5. The forum governance process shall be open and transparent.

Chapter 2: User Conduct

Article 3: Encouraged Behavior

We encourage all activities that contribute to the healthy development of the Nervos ecosystem, including but not limited to:

  • Technical Contributions: Sharing original technical tutorials, development experience, and reporting bugs.
  • Community Building: Welcoming new members, organizing events, and translating high-quality content.
  • Ecosystem Growth: Promoting Nervos use cases, participating in proposal discussions, and writing project analyses.

Article 4: Violations and Actions

To maintain forum order, moderators will take corresponding actions against the following behaviors. Repeated violations will lead to escalated actions.

  • Minor Violations
    • Behavior: Off-topic posting, repetitive content, engaging in purely price-related speculation or trading discussions, inflammatory language, spamming, spreading unverified rumors, etc.
    • Action: The moderator will remove the relevant content and issue a warning.
  • Moderate Violations
    • Behavior: Maliciously spreading FUD, personal attacks or insults, intentionally inciting conflict between community projects, abusing the report function, deliberate misinformation, etc.
    • Action: Depending on the severity, the moderator will issue a temporary ban of 1 to 4 weeks.
  • Severe Violations
    • Behavior: Posting illegal content, market manipulation speech, doxxing or leaking private information, commercial fraud, hate speech or discriminatory remarks, malicious attacks on the community or its members, etc.
    • Action: Depending on the severity, the moderator will issue a ban of over 1 month, up to a permanent ban.

Relevant actions taken by moderators will be publicly logged in a designated thread.

Chapter 3: Forum Administration

Article 5: Moderators

  • Selection Mechanism: Moderators are central to maintaining forum order. Initially, the Nervos Foundation will invite 2 senior members from both the Chinese and English-speaking communities to serve as moderators.
  • Future Development: In the future, we will open channels for community self-nomination and election, allowing more dedicated and responsible members to participate in forum administration.
  • Responsibilities: Moderators are responsible for enforcing these guidelines and maintaining a healthy discussion atmosphere. All moderation actions will strive to be fair, just, and transparent.

Let’s build Nervos Talk into a high-quality public space through our valuable contributions and positive actions, and jointly advance the Nervos ecosystem.

These guidelines are a trial version. We welcome all community members to provide suggestions for improving the governance of the Nervos Talk forum.
