For the last 2 years we’ve got extensive experience in operating nodes in production for our customers on top blockchain protocols like Ethereum, Bitcoin, Quorum, Corda and MultiChain. The platform received extremely positive feedback from developers worldwide as we solve the headache of running your own blockchain infrastructure with radically simplified UX.
Project and justification
We propose to run shared and dedicated Nervos nodes on Chainstack—giving developers unlimited and secure access to native node APIs and investors an easy way to run their own nodes to deposit tokens to Nervos DAO.
This is valuable for Nervos as anyone could access the Nervos network without digging into docs on how to run a node and instead focus on building applications or depositing tokens in Nervos DAO. What’s also important, by making it easy to run a node, we enable the network to scale and become more robust/resistant to attacks by deploying many distributed nodes.
We also maintain awesome documentation—Nervos will be part of it with tutorials on how to build applications.
Technical specification and implementation
Currently Chainstack supports 5 different protocols including two public permissionless blockchains—Ethereum and Bitcoin. Nervos network will be supported in the same way with free shared nodes and Bolt rapid sync technology for dedicated nodes.
Our stack is based on cloud-native technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm. All the node deployments are monitored through Prometheus and Grafana.
Timeline
It will take 3 to 6 months to support Nervos on Chainstack depending on the confirmed scope.
