[DIS] Fiber Desktop v1 ground-up rebuild and launch — fnn desktop app

Fiber Studio v1.1.1: Bundled FNN v0.9.0 Upgrade & Channel State Handling

Hi everyone,

We have released Fiber Studio v1.1.1!

This release updates our bundled node to the official fnn v0.9.0 stable release and improves channel state management and UX feedback across the app.

What’s New in v1.1.1

1. Official FNN v0.9.0 Bundled Sidecar

  • Upgraded the embedded Fiber Network Node (fnn) binary from v0.9.0-rc7 to the official stable v0.9.0 release.
  • Updated default node configuration templates (testnet.yml and mainnet.yml) with documentation for RPC module configuration and Biscuit token authentication.

2. Enhanced Channel State Handling (“Needs sync” / Stale)

  • Explicit “Stale” State Support: Added proper detection and presentation for channels in the Stale state.
  • Clear User Feedback: Stale channels now display a distinct amber badge with the label “Needs sync” instead of being miscategorized as pending openings.
  • Action Safety in Channel Details: ChannelDetailDialog now provides contextual explanations when cooperative close or abandon actions are disabled on stale channels, informing users that peer re-synchronization is required first.

3. App & Website Consistency

  • Updated all node version indicators, dashboard specs, and documentation to reflect the fnn 0.9.0 engine.
