Is CKB merely an experiment,?, without any business development or application scenario expansion? The resulting products haven’t been used by any entity or organization. Decentralization doesn’t mean letting it develop unchecked. CKB itself doesn’t have its own mindset for business development.
You could say the same thing about 99% of other blockchains as well, it just feels like CKB is on it’s own because you’re pretty deeply involved.
But no matter what happens, to me there always seems to feel like there’s hope for CKB and this is because it’s so well designed and built that success could come suddenly at any point.
When you look deeply into most other chains that are also struggling, there’s realistically no way out for them because they offer nothing unique and outstanding, but CKB always carries that glimmer of hope because it is unique and outstanding…just no one uses it yet, that’s literally the only problem.
Yeah I get you man, but it’s always been like this, I don’t think things will change on that front.
I think one of the biggest ‘issues’ CKB has had from a BD perspective is that the people involved just aren’t hype men and bullshitters. That’s not a criticism, of course that’s the best way from a moral standpoint, but it’s also definitely held us back.
But CKB is without a doubt one of the best, of not the best Blockchain in the world on a technological level, but it’s just really bad at “crypto”.
I think this is you’re answer mate, if it hasn’t happened so far, then it’s very unlikely to happen now.
Also, I think crypto in general is struggling bigtime with (real world) business development. If you’d asked me 4 years ago I would have said crypto would have been part of all our lives by now, but it’s just not even close, it’s gone backwards if anything.
So a blockchain like CKB, who’s real selling point is that it’s a dead serious project, built to last and adapt forever, is going to struggle more, because who are our customers? Not real world businesses that’s for sure.
We need to go back to basics and appeal to crypto’s only real customers…
Totally agree mate, but how do we demonstrate the value when there’s no users, this is the million dollar question.
We need users, this should be the number 1 priority for all projects, because without them nothing matters.
At this point building any app without a clear plan to entice thousands of users from outside the CKB ecosystem is a total and utter waste of time and money.
Ok, some of the development work isn’t a waste of time, because as long as it’s open source and new then this is always of value, but from a project and business success perspective, everything is doomed to failure if there’s no plan for massive user generation from outside the CKB community.
