Approval Announcement
The CKB Eco Fund Spark Program is dedicated to supporting community developers and innovative projects. Following a review process, we announce the approval of the grant application for the Quantum Purse project.
Project and Developer Information
- Project Name: Quantum Purse
- Developer: “tea” (
@tea2x
on GitHub) - Project Description: Quantum Purse is a web-based wallet utilizing the SPHINCS+ quantum-resistant signature algorithm. This Spark Program grant will support the integration of Nervos DAO functionality and the packaging of the wallet as a native desktop application (via Electron) to enhance user experience and project accessibility. Developer “tea” had independently completed the core functionalities of the Quantum Purse wallet and its key
key-vault
library prior to this application, laying a solid foundation for the project.
Spark Program Grant Decision and Rationale
The Spark Program committee has evaluated the Quantum Purse project proposal and has decided to provide a grant of $700 USD. This phase of deliverables is expected to be completed around June 15, 2025.
The main reasons for this decision are as follows:
- Technical Innovation and Ecosystem Value: The Quantum Purse project addresses the potential threat of quantum computing by providing a solution with quantum-resistant technology, which holds forward-looking value for the CKB ecosystem. Its core
key-vault
library can also offer technical support to other applications within the ecosystem. - Clear Deliverables: This grant will support the integration of Nervos DAO functionality and the development of an Electron desktop application. Both are clear and valuable new features that will help enhance the project’s utility.
- Developer Capability and Community Contribution: Developer “tea” is an active contributor to the Nervos community. His technical skills and past contributions (such as JoyDAO and his prior work on Quantum Purse) are recognized by the committee, providing confidence in the project’s successful completion.
- Consideration of Grant Amount: The developer of Quantum Purse, “tea,” requested $500 USD in their updated proposal, along with detailed planning. During its independent assessment, the Spark Program committee considered the technical complexity of this phase (including Nervos DAO integration and Electron desktop application development), the estimated workload, its potential contribution to the CKB ecosystem, and the Spark Program’s funding standards for technically innovative projects. To ensure the high-quality completion of the project’s key deliverables at this stage, and to appropriately reflect support for such proactive and productive community contributors and their valuable projects, the committee determined that a grant of $700 USD is suitable.
Fund Management and Project Transparency
To ensure the openness and transparency of the Spark Program, the grant funds for the Quantum Purse project will be managed and disbursed through a dedicated multi-signature wallet.
- Project Multi-sig Wallet Address:

- Multi-sig Mechanism and Stewards: This wallet operates under a 2-of-3 multi-signature scheme and will be jointly managed by the following Spark Program committee members to ensure fund security and appropriate use: Devrel Lead Hanssen, Research Lead 舟舟, and Devrel member Yixiu.
- Transparency of Disbursements: Details and transaction hashes for all fund disbursements (including the initial 20% for project kick-off and subsequent payments) will be publicly announced on the Nervos Talk forum and relevant Discord community channels.
- Communication Channel: The project’s application thread within the Spark Program channel on the Nervos Network Discord will serve as one of the primary public channels for communication and progress updates with the developer, “tea,” fostering open information sharing.
Project Support and Future Outlook
The Spark Program provides more than just funding; we will also offer necessary support for the smooth progress of the Quantum Purse project. We will maintain close collaboration with the developer, “tea,” including but not limited to:
- Regular weekly synchronization meetings to track progress and coordinate resources.
- Upon project completion, “tea” will submit a final summary report to share valuable development experiences and achievements with the community.
- We plan to invite “tea” to participate in CKB Eco Fund community sharing sessions, technical talks, or similar events to showcase the Quantum Purse project and its explorations in the field of quantum-resistant security to a broader audience.
We look forward to the Quantum Purse project successfully achieving its current objectives, bringing unique value to CKB users and developers. The Spark Program will continue to identify and support promising community projects and contributors, collectively fostering the prosperity of the Nervos ecosystem.
