Hi everyone,
Cellula is the name you can pay: cellula.id gives you one name, yourname.cell, that people can pay instead of a blockchain address. Now we are testing the Cellula Wallet, a wallet that lives in your passkey, and we are looking for more testers: on Android, where the app is, and on the web, where the same wallet runs in any browser that can save a passkey. The beta runs until Monday 26 October at midnight (23:59 UTC).
What it is
- Your passkey is the wallet: you open it with your fingerprint, face or screen lock, and there is no seed phrase to write down.
- An Android app (Android 11 or later), and the same wallet on the web.
- .cell names right in the wallet: pay a name, and be paid at yours.
- A Fiber balance for instant payments, through Cellula’s Fiber node. Its keys stay on your device.
- Savings in the Nervos DAO, and a Quantum Vault locked with a signature built to resist quantum computers.
- Private payments to your name, tokens and DOBs, and guardians who can help you get the wallet back if you lose your passkey.
- Sites can connect to it, ask it to sign, sign in with a .cell name, and take Fiber payments.
Everything runs on the testnet with test coins, so nothing you do costs real money.
How the beta works
Testers get a step by step test plan: twelve basic tests anyone can do, in the app or in a browser, and advanced ones for those who want to go deeper. Reports go to a private testers’ group, one problem per message, and we ship fixes from them as they come in. The first round from our testers’ reports went live within a day.
How to join
Join our Telegram at Telegram: View @cellula_id and tell us how you will test: on Android (your phone model and Android version) or in a browser (which one). We add testers to the group in small batches, so the test network stays usable for everyone. The basic tests take about an hour, so there is still time: the beta closes on Monday 26 October at midnight (23:59 UTC).
Thanks, and see you there.
