Pocket Node v1.8.6
This update focuses on wallet protection and making backup and recovery easier to understand.
Wallet passphrase protection
Set up a separate wallet passphrase that gives you a fallback if Android device authentication becomes unavailable. Optional device authentication remains available for everyday use.
Cleaner settings and backup screens
Wallet protection settings are simpler to navigate, with clearer explanations and a redesigned backup verification flow.
Recovery and reliability improvements
Missing Android security keys now lead to recovery options instead of a crash. We also fixed backup verification, wallet restore, activity export and sync issues, and improved Nervos DAO compensation calculations.
Already using Pocket Node?
Update over your existing installation. Complete wallet protection setup and verify an external backup before removing or resetting your device lock or changing enrolled biometrics.
Your wallet passphrase and recovery phrase serve different purposes. Keep your recovery phrase or private key safely backed up for a lost phone or deleted app data. This update cannot recreate a previously lost key without surviving recovery material.
