Welcome to the latest CKB Ecosystem Biweekly Update. Here’s a quick summary of key dev and ecosystem progress from the past two weeks.
Infrastructure & Tooling 
- @CKBdev shipped CKB v0.208.0 and Tentacle v0.7.6, improved RPC and mining operator behavior, continued CKB-VM cleanup and security issues fixes, plus light client bounds and panic-path hardening, advanced CKB DAO treasury and voting research into executable PoC work. More: CKB Dev Log 2026-07-22
- @CKBDevrel added CCC AI skills and shared an Opticrum (for Fiber) usage guide on Nervos Talk.
- @FiberDevs shipped Fiber v0.9.0-rc7, hardened CCH payment safety & recovery, diagnostics and authorization reliability, continued Fiber liquidity management prototype, CKB swap script implementation, gossip, channel recovery & release-hardening fixes, and investigated native Fiber integration on mobile. - @joy_protocol will discontinue its Lightning features and close all channels on Aug 18, 2026. Before then, pls switch to the Lightning Network in JoyID to return channel funds to your JoyID BTC wallet.
Web5 & DAO 
- @BuildUnion is applying for $45,000 from CKB Community Fund DAO to build CKB Anywhere Card V2, which allows users to spend CKB directly from self-custody anywhere Visa is accepted. This proposal is now in the Discussion Stage.
- The Fiber Python SDK and Werra (with Like Audit) proposals failed the Discussion Stage, while the Vellum proposal failed the Voting Stage of CKB Community Fund DAO.
- The Rypto and FiberLatch Access proposals have passed the Voting Stage of CKB Community Fund DAO.
- Fiber Studio (formerly Fiber Desktop) shipped v0.1.9. Its progress update covers a UI revamp, fnn v0.9.0-rc7, safer migrations, clearer errors, and UX fixes.
- Invisibook shared a weekly update: it kept refining its paper, studied the co-zk codebase, and began using test performance data.
- Pocket Node released v1.8.0, adding one-tap network switching, fixing fund discovery on protected wallets, and improving security.
Ecosystem Projects & Community 
- Nervos Talk’s new forum categories are live. The top-level categories are Announcements & Meta, Infrastructure, Applications & Ecosystem, Cryptoeconomics & Mechanism Design, DAOs & Funding, Miners Pub, General, and Archived.
- @BitcoinLightApp (formerly CKBull) v1.4.0 is live on Android and iOS, adding more BTC/CKB purchase options via Meld.io, plus performance improvements and fixes.

- @ArthurZhang shared the CellScript 0.21.0 release notes and introduced Myelin, a CKB-aligned off-chain Cell session runtime.
- @mohanson published deep dives into CKB-VM macro-op fusion and the CKB-VM B extension.
- @Ckroamer shared Opticrum dev notes and an Opticrum liquidity-provider manual.
- @joii2020 published Bringing Fiber to Mobile Apps: FFI, Android, and iOS Native Integration.
- @fgh published research on choosing a BTC indexer for RGB++.
- @BuildUnion is seeking feedback on the architecture of a self-custodial Visa payment platform on Nervos.
- Scryve, a long-form publishing platform with certified authorship and permanent archiving, is live at scryvehq.com.
- @RetricSu released fiber-pay v0.3.0, adding UDT support across its SDKs and CLI, and built a testnet demo that pays a Bitcoin Lightning invoice with a CKB UDT over Fiber.
- @XBeach shared FiberPass, wallet/payment UX infrastructure for prepaid, revocable Fiber payment sessions.
- @T_Silva shared Trickle, a budget-capped streaming micropayment library for Fiber.
- @psawyerberlin launched VeriCell.net, a proof-of-existence and integrity service that anchors SHA-256 file manifests in live Cells.
- @Jedi_dtechmaker published Revisiting My First CKB dApp: Forever Notes.
- @Victor_Okenwa shared his hackathon entry, FiberGuard.
- @ckba_build published a series of long-form articles on quantum resistance:

- Q2 2026 Report is live: 100+ developers engaged through Community Keeps Building initiative and Build on CKB initiative, 23 CKBuilder projects added in Q2, hackathon registrations surpassed the prior event, CKB Off-Chain debuted in Africa, CKBoost reached 100+ users, and five CKBuilder projects progressed to Community Fund DAO proposals. - Gone in 60ms: Fiber Network Infrastructure Hackathon has closed for submissions. Judging is underway for the 66 submissions.
- The CKB Off-Chain Nairobi Community Meetup concluded at Workstyle Africa on July 18, 2026, drawing ~45 attendees. Read the event overview.
- @blackbox_pos removed its payment-confirmation placeholder: BlackBox now detects incoming on-chain settlement and advances to success automatically. More: Blackbox Devlog #6
- @truthixify released ckb-viz, a CKB transaction visualizer.
